Nature Scapes: Wedding Tablescapes Inspired by BC Landscapes
For this wedding tablescapes editorial in Real Weddings magazine, I gathered four of the best Vancouver professionals in event decor & design, assigning each a unique BC landscape theme. I selected the photographer, coordinated logistics, and provided editorial and production oversight during the photo shoot. I also wrote the captions (below).

Alpine Escape
Rugged and elegant elements make this mountain cabin setting sophisticated yet rustic. A custom-made wood plank table is set with a chic faux fur table runner edged in powdered snow and sparkling crystal ice. Birch logs hold delicate white hydrangeas, roses and phalaenopsis orchids while clusters of crystal candlesticks add modernity and envelop guests in a warm inviting glow. Guests sit cosy and comfy on snow-white faux fur covered benches and pillows. At each setting, popcorn glass charger plates hold fur napkin wraps, and pinecone place card holders with contemporary flatware alongside. Toast the evening with frosted stem martini glasses. Breezy Shores
A harmony of blues, greens, deep purple and naturals creates a calming yet joyous, ocean-inspired feel. Florals reminiscent of ocean life are playful—seaweed-like amaranthus, sea-urchin-like succulents and allium dance across the table and hang from above, while glass vessels filled with water, sand and florals bring shore to table. From a curly willow overhang drop glass bubbles light as air. Louis Ghost chairs, silk table linens and an abundance of candlelight add romantic sophistication. Wine Country Reflections
BC's arid wine country inspires this tablescape of muted browns, camel, and soft greens. A dark wood and brushed silver communal bar-style table is arranged with camel-coloured suede barstools. Vanilla roses, arranged pavé style, alternate with low profile succulents, and candles nestled in rocks and sand line the table from end to end. Two-tone ceramic plates, set atop linen napkins, hold ornate green tealight holders while amber-stemmed martini glasses complete each guest's setting. Relax and celebrate. Verdant Beauty
The stately yet embracing beauty of a lush BC rainforest after the rain. An overarching ming fern tree drips with shimmering crystals and glowing votives. At its base, West Coast ferns and glass cube vases with green hydrangea and cymbidium orchids. Wooden Vermont charger plates hold chocolate brown satin napkins embellished with single cymbidium orchids, while tree sapling favours await each guest. Clear Chiavari chairs are dressed with chocolate pintuck cushions, moss green satin chair ties are finished with real ferns. An intimate woodland feast awaits.
